Antioxidant oil serum is a lightweight serum featuring an advanced combination of nutritious oils with powerful antioxidants. Crafted to leave the skin feeling velvety smooth, this combination of Vitamin C and E, Alpha-Lipoic Acid and Astaplancton® HA, protects the skin against UV damage and environmental stress to give overall healthy glowing skin. Also containing, Vitamin F-glyceric acid, this ingredient aids in the regeneration of the cellular membrane and skin tissues. Ingredients
Cottonseed Oil
Because of its molecular weight, cottonseed oil effectively coats the skin in a way that allows it to protect the cells beneath, and keeps them from being irritated. This oil is also exceptionally high in omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, which have both been shown to help skin retain moisture— essential for combatting both winter dryness and summertime sun and wind damage.
Hempseed Oil
Used as an emollient and to supply skin with omega fatty acids it needs to replenish itself and strengthen its surface against moisture loss. Hemp seed oil also contains beneficial phospholipids, plant sterols, amino acids (it’s especially high in the amino acid arginine) and is a rich source of antioxidant vitamin E. It has also been shown to control excess sebum secretion and control acne (both through sebum control and anti-inflammatory benefits).
Sea Buckthorn Oil
It has a pretty unique fatty acid composition: 65% is a combination of the rare Omega-7, known as palmitoleic acid and the more common palmitic acid. Fatty acids give the oil nice moisturizing and skin- protecting abilities. It contains antioxidant Vitamin E (in multiple forms), antioxidant (and orange color giving) pigments beta carotene and lycopene, as well as skin-soothing and replenishing beta-sitosterol.
Vitamin F-glyceryl Ester
Acts as an emollient, moisturizing and nourishing agent for the skin. It improves the appearance of the skin by restoring its flexibility and elasticity.
Alpha-Lipoic Acid (ALA)
Is a great antioxidant that’s also part of the body’s natural antioxidant system. ALA is known from lowering inflammation, reducing under eyes puffiness, improving circulation, brightening complexion. It also protects and boosts the effectiveness of such antioxidants like Vitamins C, E, and glutathione. ALA protects the skin against UV radiation from the sun and others responsible for the generation of free radicals and photo damage.
Astaplancton® HA
Is a standardised extract from red, non-motile resting stage of the microalga Haematococcus pluvialis, in which cells accumulate the pigment astaxanthin under inductive conditions such as high light intensity e.g. sunlight. This active ingredient has been shown to exhibit anti-oxidant protection, stimulation of cellular metabolism and provide protection against UV-induced damage (UVA and UVB).
Vitamin C
Like other forms of Vitamin C, Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate helps prevent cellular damage by inhibiting the cross-linking of collagen, oxidation of proteins, and lipid peroxidation. Working synergistically with other antioxidants like Vitamin E, it exhibits superior skin absorption levels and stability in formulations.
Oat CO2 extract
Obtained by gentle CO2 extraction. This soothing extract is rich in fatty acids and vitamin E to nourish and condition as well as delivering skin beneficial antioxidant protection.
